Favorite Things #25 — Charis Classical Academy
Many of you know that our family does a hybrid school/homeschool program. It is a delightful “best of both worlds” school experience for our kiddos and for us as parents. We love that we get to have our children home with us an extra three days per week and that we get to be the primary educators here at home. But we also love that they go to school two days a week and learn from great teachers (who are not us) and learn/grow alongside their peers. Having the “big kids” at school two days a week gives me more time with my littlest two here at home. But I also love having everyone here together on those other three days per week. This hybrid model has been a perfect fit for our family and so it is my favorite thing this week! I think Ella’s face in the picture above describes our love for Charis as best as my words every could– she is there in the front row staring up at her Kindergarten teacher with love, admiration, and wonder. What a beautiful sight.
Charis is a Christian, classical, hybrid school that meets two days a week for Pre-K through 4th grade and three days a week for 5th grade through high school. The word Charis is Greek and it means that which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness, grace of speech. And that is just what CCA strives instill in its students and parents, the joy, pleasure, and sweetness of learning. If you’re interested in finding out more, feel free to connect with me by email (meggin.musser@gmail.com) or you can visit Charis’s website. Open enrollment for new students will begin on February 15th.
