Wednesday’s thought – stay your mind

“You keep him in perfect peace
whose mind is stayed on you,
because he trusts in you.
Trust in the LORD forever,
for the LORD GOD is an everlasting rock.”
-Isaiah 26:3-4

A quick scripture this morning to remind us that when we stay our minds on God, on the one who knows and controls all things, that we do not need to fear or worry about the circumstances that we find ourselves in. God already knows the answers, He already knows the outcome, and He is already working all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28). Even if I can’t see or understand what that good is, I can trust that His word is true and that He will be faithful to see me through. I can choose to take my thoughts captive (2 Corinthians 10:5) and stay my mind not on my worry or frustration, but to stay my mind on Him.
